Its 360° walk-around deck — the only one in our fleet — lets you move freely for unobstructed shots of the cliffs, waterfalls, and sea caves from every angle. What's Included on Your Na Pali Coast Sunset Cruise
The route runs the same coastline as our morning tour, which makes this Na Pali Coast sunset cruise double as a Na Pali Coast sea caves tour: the cliffs, the sea caves including Pirates Cave (Waiahuakua) and Honopū Arch, and Kalalau Valley, all viewed from the deck as the light changes through the late afternoon and evening. Sea caves are entered as long as ocean conditions allow safe access.
Unlike the morning tour, the sunset cruise doesn’t include a snorkel stop. If snorkeling is what you’re after, our standard Na Pali Coast tour covers that instead.
Spinner dolphins and Pacific Bottlenose dolphins are commonly seen along the route, though sightings are never guaranteed since wildlife behavior and ocean conditions vary day to day.

No. The sunset cruise covers the coastline, sea caves, and Honopū Arch during the golden-hour window, but there’s no snorkel stop on this tour. If snorkeling matters more to you than sunset light, our standard morning tour includes a roughly one-hour snorkel stop instead.
What time does the sunset cruise depart?
Departure time shifts through the year to match sunset, so the exact time depends on your travel dates. Expect an afternoon departure with a return after dark, since the whole tour is timed around the sunset itself. Do you go inside the sea caves on the sunset cruise?
Yes, when ocean conditions allow safe entry. Pirates Cave and Honopū Arch are both part of the route, and the late-afternoon light changes how the cave interiors look compared to a morning tour. Cave entry is never guaranteed, since our captains make that call on the water based on conditions that day.
Will we see dolphins on the sunset cruise?
Dolphins show up along this route often enough that guests ask about them regularly, though we never promise a sighting, since the ocean doesn’t work that way. What we can offer is a crew that’s spent years learning where dolphins tend to gather along these waters, and that’s as true on the sunset run as on any other tour.
